stage 1b: canada pt2

Weve been cruising through canada for the past 9 days and loving every minute of it. Starting in saskatoon, we shot straight across to banff and the Canadian Rockies, where the sheer scasle of the scenery is enough to make you catch your breath. James made it a mission to see as much wildlife as possible, and all told the tally is pretty good. So far: 8 bears (including 3 cubs) a big elk, a coyote, mountain goats, a herd of big-horned sheep, a marmot, many squirrels and heaps of deer. Besides the fauna, we also took in the scenery whenever possible. From there it was over to okanagen for a few nights then on to vancouver. the whole city thing was a little undewhelming after the glorious canadian scenery, but still a good time. farewelling the glovers we headed back home yesterday, and i'm sitting here in sunny Jasper at the northern end of the rockies. nice, eh? leaves you wandering why any canadian would choose to live in a city when their natural habitat is so rich. for those who know us, rowenas back has been causing her a fair bit of pain over the past few days, but things are looking better and we should be able to hit spain as planned on friday the 28th.
