Tossa De Mar (Costa Brava)

As you can see, the trip to the coast on Tues wasn´t a complete waste of time! This shot was taken from the top of a little peninsular which made up the northern edge of the Tossa Beach, and was home to the old walled city of Tossa. The wall here date back to the 1300´s and were in incredible condition, and it´s not hard to see why people decided to settle down here, eh?

The downside of the trip to Tossa was the huge population of tourists (like ourselves, you might add) which had obviously had an effect on the town. There were more restaurants here than in any town i´ve ever seen, and accompanying them were a collection of tacky gift shops and pushy waiters. The scenery was divine though, and it all looked pretty amazing, especially when compared to the more popular Lloret De Mar 20 mins away. Lloret was a true bogans paradise, complete with British soccar hooligans and jetskis! Wow!

We were privaliged enough to find a little meditteranean beach tucked away out back of town, and once we´d dodged the police barrier guarding the only entrance we were set for a wonderfully quiet afternoon, propped on a smooth rocky outcop overlooking the med. Not a bad life really.

For those still asking, Rowena´s back is all better and she is now bench pressing 100Kg and base jumping from tall buildings.
