Peace on Earth and goodwill to me!

So, in case you missed the news, we moved on from Melbourne to Perth in November. If you're not confident in Australian geography, Perth is right over on the Western coast, over 4 hours flight from Melbourne, Sydney and the rest. This all made Christmas a little different, as dropping around to a family dinner was out of the question. Innovation saved the day, and we enjoyed a sumptuous day of feasting with our close friends across a folding picnic table in our new unit.
The photo above was taken as we walked off the effects of breakfast (blueberry pancakes and champagne) with an eager eye on lunch (crayfish, prawns, frittata etc.). BBQ dinner hardly needs mentioning, sufficed to say the losers of the day were our belts, forced to try to hold all our gluttony in.
So with our first Christmas away from home over and done with, theres time for us to get to know our adopted home city before Rowena gets working early in the new year. We'll try to re-ignite this little journal whenever we feel homesick (nightly) or bored (daily) or just need to spout off generalisations about Perthites to people who either have no idea, or at least no physical connection with this place.
